Completed in 2023 in the municipality of Imèr, the “Immèrgiti” sensory trail follows a gentle slope between a wooded hillside and the Cismón stream. Fully accessible, the route unfolds within a captivating natural setting, designed to encourage a slower pace and a direct connection with nature. Along the trail, seven experiential stations engage the senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and balance — through installations that interpret the elements of the landscape in a playful and perceptive way. A sound cloud, a barefoot path, suspended wooden platforms, framing structures, swinging bowls and a sound cone invite visitors to perceive the forest’s colours, sounds and scents more intensely.
The project aims to enhance the local landscape and tourism heritage, offering an authentic, sustainable experience that combines environmental education, well-being and social connection. Located near the Imèr botanical garden, the trail strengthens the site’s educational and contemplative vocation, becoming a meeting place for residents and guests alike — a place to rediscover nature with all the senses.
